Virtual Kids ALIVE! Peru
PROJECT BRIEF: The Covid-19 pandemic has upended the education of millions of children in Peru and worldwide. Peru, the nation with the world’s highest coronavirus mortality rate, is also one of dozens of countries where schools nationwide remain closed on account of the pandemic, with no reopening date in sight.
This project started in 2020 with the aim of helping Peruvian kids who have internet access to receive quality English classes and value-centered education. There are currently two virtual classes running on a weekly basis.
The kids are excited to attend the virtual classes as they look forward to the time of learning, playing games, singing songs, conversing and interacting with their friends and teachers in English.
The feedback from the students and their parents have been positive as parents are grateful that their children are still able to receive quality English classes virtually despite the disruption caused by the pandemic.
